Overview
Our Early Years Centre
Every child’s early years should be filled with wonder, discovery and joy. In our dedicated Early Years Centre, caring teachers and vibrant learning spaces nurture confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of learning — preparing children not only for school, but for life.
Teaching & Learning
Early Years Curriculum
Our unique Early Learning Centre (ELC) blends the trusted Australian Early Years Learning Framework with the Reggio Emilia philosophy, inspired by passionate early childhood educators to create a nurturing, play-based environment where learning grows naturally from each child’s interests.
Nursery & Reception
Age 3—5
At AISM’s Early Learning Centre, every child is an active explorer, guided by curiosity and play. Learning is enriched through meaningful experiences that encourage children to ask questions, investigate and make sense of the world. Alongside discovery and connections with friends, teachers and the community, they also enjoy specialist lessons each week, including language three times a week, swimming, music and library sessions. This balanced approach builds essential skills and a lifelong love of learning.
Learning Through Play
Our play-based approach sparks curiosity and supports whole brain development, laying the groundwork for lifelong learning. Through engaging activities, hands-on exploration and outdoor play, children build critical thinking skills, creativity and a love of discovery.
Expert Teachers in Action
Our specialist teachers bring expertise and passion to every lesson, creating engaging, tailored activities that spark curiosity and build essential skills. Whether teaching languages, guiding early literacy or leading music and physical education, they help every child grow in confidence and creativity.
Family-Style Lunches
In our dedicated Early Years dining space, children develop table manners while exploring different cultures through food. Every meal is balanced and tailored to individual needs and mealtimes become opportunities to socialise, build friendships, practise independence and develop healthy eating habits from an early age.
Partnering with Parents
We build strong partnerships with families through open communication and collaboration. Using the SeeSaw app, parents receive real-time updates on their child’s learning and milestones. Families are invited to explore themes at home and join ‘exit point’ activities that celebrate each topic’s completion.
