Placement
The formal years of schooling at Australian International School Malaysia start at the age of 6 years (Foundation).
Like most international schools in Malaysia, our students will be placed in their year groups based on their age and the academic year they are enrolling in.
Below is a chart showing the comparison of the Australian, British and Malaysian Education year groups. You can use this to find which year group your child would belong to.

Term Dates
At Australian International School Malaysia, there are four terms in a year, from January to December. We observe the Australian school holidays and all public holidays, as gazetted for the city of Selangor.

- Schooling hours is between Monday to Friday, from 8.45 am to 3.10 pm.
- Co-curricular Activities (CCA) are conducted from Monday to Thursday and run from 3.20 pm to 4.20 pm.
- Two sessions of bussing services are provided to cater for after school hours pick up (3.10 pm) and after co-curricular activities pick up (4.20 pm).
- School is closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
