Want to learn to write calligraphy??

You will learn to write your name in Jawi and also learn to construct simple sentences using Jawi calligraphy.

Jawi writing is the main form of writing in various manuscripts recovered around the Archipelago. These manuscripts are found to record history, art, culture, language, social, as well as ancient knowledge. The usage of Jawi writings had covered a number of calligraphy which are high in value with deep philosophical meaning, are full of creative notions as well as countless patterns.

A class that provides the students with the repertoire of Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz and even Tap Dance.

Ballet dance is an art form created by the movement of the human body. It is theatrical – performed on a stage to an audience utilising costumes, scenic design and lighting. It can tell a story or express a thought, concept or emotion.

Jazz dance combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz also has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms.

An introduction to the game of chess. Chess is a timeless game which will enable students to develop their strategic planning and problem-solving skills. Within this CCA, students will learn about the different pieces and how they move on the board and the rules of the game. Students will also learn some strategic moves and play matches with fellow students! Other board games will also be available to be played. Students will also have the opportunity to design their own board game, too.

Experiments are an awesome part of science that allow students of all ages to engage in fun and exciting hands-on learning experiences that they are sure to enjoy. Students who have a passion for Science and thinking scientifically will be able to design experiments and investigations in any area of science that interests them. Students will experiment with different things and see what happens, which substances react with each other and which don't? Were your results surprising or as expected? Learn to better analyse your data to draw valid conclusions based on your investigations.

Students will be required to bring their green aprons, an exercise book and pencil case. Students will be free to design any experiment that can be carried out safely in a Science laboratory at School.The Science department will provide basic lab equipment and resources that we have in stock, but students will need to provide anything else they want to use.

Zombie Film Festival

Brainbox Chess Academy (BCA) was founded by a group of elite national chess players with an aim to provide quality and structures chess training to the aspiring chess community. BCA caters for different age-groups and levels, and specialises in using chess as a tool for education and mental development through fun, interactive classes. In addition to this, they also provide training for competitive play in those nerve-wrecking tournaments. Students will learn about all aspects of the game starting from the opening, middlegame and endgame. They will explore the tactics and strategies of the game. They will develop their creativity in finding the best move and also improve their decision making over the board. They will also improve their concentration and focus level.
