The Learning Journey
Our Early Learning Centre (ELC) aims to provide a warm, secure and stimulating preschool environment for children aged 3-5. Using the Australian Early Years Learning Framework and the Reggio Emilia Philosophy, our students are exposed to a variety of learning experiences.
The Reggio Emilia Approach presupposes that a child’s personality is formed during the early stages of childhood. We encourage children to express themselves through their ‘100 languages’, and build relationships with the community as well as the environment around them.
Our approach focuses on child-centred, inquiry based learning, where children learn through real life and hands-on experiences. Learners are given rich opportunities to explore, discover and construct knowledge through many different modes of learning to deepen their own understanding.
Each child’s learning is documented every step of the way, shared daily through digital means and classroom displays. We aim to create ‘meaningful conversations’ between the child, the parent and the teacher. By doing this, a valuable learning link between school and home is provided, supporting their growth as lifelong learners.
Learn through a variety of learning experiences in a child-centred environment with flexible learning spaces.
Why Choose Our Preschool
We encourage each child to take charge of their own learning by following their interests and in turn, develop the skills necessary for their future. To do this, we provide opportunities for them to question, inquire, play and explore while making real life connections with their community and the environment.
Environment As The 3rd Teacher
The Reggio Environment creates ‘a feeling of belonging in a world that is alive, welcoming and authentic’. We embrace nature, as we place emphasis in providing learners a natural atmosphere that invites exploration, communication and collaboration.
Internationally Proven
