Who We Are
Preparing Students for International School Success
AISM offers EAL support within the mainstream curriculum, helping students strengthen their English while progressing in their regular classes. For students who require more intensive language preparation, the Academic English Pathway (AEP) Programme supports learners aged 10 to 14 to develop strong English proficiency and academic readiness, empowering them to transition confidently into international education.
While housed at Australian International School Malaysia, the AEP Programme provides students with a pathway into leading international schools. Students benefit from priority entry into the Taylor’s Schools network, including Australian International School Malaysia (where the programme is held), Garden International School, Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur, Taylor’s International School Puchong, and Nexus International School Malaysia and Nexus International School Singapore, as well as other leading international schools across Malaysia.
AEP Programme Learning Experience
Designed for students developing their academic English, AEP Programme equips motivated learners with the language skills, confidence, and readiness required to thrive in international schooling and beyond.
Delivered through an intensive one year programme, students are immersed in an inquiry-based curriculum that includes Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and Physical Education. Alongside this, they systematically strengthen essential English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, enabling them to fully participate, engage and excel across all subject areas.
In addition, a twice-weekly Homework Club, included in the programme fees and supervised by our AEP Programme teachers, provides ongoing academic support while helping students build resilience and confidence. On other days, students may choose from a wide range of Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) offered at AISM, opening the door to discovering new skills, interests and passions.
