Australian International School Malaysia (AISM) is proud to celebrate the achievements of our student-athletes at the Majlis Sukan Sekolah Daerah (MSSD) competitions. Competing against students from local and private schools across the Petaling Perdana District in Selangor, our students demonstrated exceptional commitment, resilience, and sportsmanship across multiple sporting disciplines. Their performances reflect the strength of AISM’s growing sports programme and our commitment to developing well-rounded learners.
AISM Athletes Compete with Excellence at MSSD
The MSSD competitions provide students with the opportunity to challenge themselves against some of the strongest young athletes in the district. This year, AISM students proudly represented the school in a variety of sports, including Bowling, Badminton, Golf, and Basketball.

Participating in district-level competitions allows students to develop valuable life skills beyond the sporting arena. Through training, competition, and teamwork, students build confidence, discipline, perseverance, and leadership while learning how to perform under pressure and embrace healthy competition.
Outstanding Individual Achievements
A special congratulations goes to Ashley Yoong, who delivered an excellent performance in the Bowling competition, securing an impressive 6th-place finish. Competing against a highly talented field of athletes, Ashley demonstrated consistency, focus, and determination throughout the tournament.

We would also like to recognise the exceptional achievement of Isabel Teoh, who finished 4th overall in the Golf tournament. Isabel’s outstanding performance earned her qualification to represent the district at the State-Level Championship, an achievement that reflects her dedication, hard work, and passion for the sport.
Representing both the district and AISM at the next level is a remarkable accomplishment, and we wish Isabel every success as she continues her sporting journey.
Building Character Through Sport
At AISM, sport plays an important role in supporting students’ personal growth and development. Participation in competitions such as MSSD encourages students to challenge themselves, set goals, and develop resilience through both successes and setbacks.
These experiences complement the Australian curriculum by helping students build essential life skills, including teamwork, communication, leadership, and self-confidence. Whether competing individually or as part of a team, our student-athletes consistently demonstrate the values of respect, integrity, and sportsmanship.
The achievements of our MSSD representatives highlight the continued growth of AISM’s sports programme and the dedication of our students, coaches, and families who support them throughout their sporting pursuits.
Looking Ahead to More MSSD Action
The MSSD season continues, with a group of AISM students preparing to compete in the upcoming Table Tennis and Soccer tournaments. We are excited to see our athletes take on new challenges and represent the school with pride.
We wish all participating students the very best and look forward to celebrating their achievements in the weeks ahead.
Congratulations to all AISM students who have represented the school at the MSSD competitions this year. Your dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship have made our community proud. We also extend our sincere thanks to the coaches and parents whose ongoing encouragement and support help create these valuable opportunities for our students to grow, compete, and succeed.
