We celebrated an exciting milestone in our Service Learning program. Ms. Webster and her student team from the Service Learning CCA took their work beyond our campus and traveled to the CHIN campus to deliver lessons and activities that were entirely student-designed and student-led.
For years, we have welcomed CHIN students to our campus, building meaningful connections and shared learning experiences. This time, however, Ms. Webster and her team flipped the classroom—taking the initiative, stepping into our partners’ environment, and bringing our ideas directly to them. The result was a dynamic and engaging experience that was as impactful as it was enjoyable.
Our visiting students led thoughtfully prepared lessons and activities, demonstrating not only creativity and planning, but also confidence and empathy in their teaching. It was clear that this was more than just an exchange—it was a true collaboration.
The day was filled with energy, laughter, and meaningful interaction. By all accounts, it was a roaring success and a great deal of fun for everyone involved. Most importantly, it showcased what Service Learning at AISM is all about: real-world impact driven by students who take ownership of their ideas and bring them to life.
This initiative has set a new standard for our partnership with CHIN, and we look forward to making these reciprocal visits a regular part of our program. It stands as a shining example of Service Learning in action—student-driven, student-designed, and student-delivered.
