The Australian International School Malaysia (AISM) is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at the prestigious World Scholar’s Cup Penang Regional Round 2026. Competing against talented students from across the region, our AISM Scholaroos demonstrated academic excellence, confidence, resilience, and teamwork throughout the event.
Held in Penang, the regional round brought together young scholars for an exciting series of academic challenges, including debating, collaborative writing, the Scholar’s Bowl, and the Scholar’s Challenge. Representing AISM with pride, our students delivered exceptional performances across both the Junior and Senior divisions, earning an incredible total of 157 medals.

A Journey of Learning, Collaboration and Growth
The trip began with an early morning departure from Kuala Lumpur, followed by team bonding activities in George Town, including a visit to Penang Bowl. Over the following two days, students competed at Wesley Methodist School and Peninsula College, engaging in intellectually challenging events designed to develop critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and global awareness.
Beyond the competition itself, students also had the opportunity to experience Penang’s rich culture and vibrant food scene, creating memorable experiences and strengthening friendships along the way.
Throughout the event, AISM students displayed remarkable resilience, teamwork, and confidence while tackling complex global topics and working collaboratively under pressure — reflecting the values of The Australian Way and AISM’s commitment to developing globally minded learners.
